One of the best ways the benefits of the fruit can be cultivated is by including apple cider vinegar in your skincare routine. Apple cider vinegar is an all-natural, all-purpose staple used in kitchen solutions as well as health remedies.

What is Apple Cider Vinegar?

Apply cider vinegar is made from crushing and squeezing the juice out of apples and then yeast and bacteria is added to it for fermentation. This turns the sugar and sweetness in the apple juice into alcohol. Then another fermentation occurs that coverts that alcohol into vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar is mostly used in food items like salad dressings, chutneys and marinades. Also, it is an affordable and efficient product for your hair and skin health.

Here are the benefits and a few easy ways to incorporate apple cider vinegar into your skincare regimen.

  • Soothe and Exfoliate Skin

Apple cider vinegar has anti-inflammatory properties which help in soothing and relieving the skin. Also, it has alpha-hydroxy acids that are great for chemical exfoliating meaning it removes dead skin cells on the surface and you get healthy new skin cells. Moreover, acetic acid in the apple cider vinegar softens the skin so that you get perfect skin.

How to use it: Concentrated apple cider vinegar can be harmful to the skin as it may disrupt the skin barrier which can cause skin inflammation, therefore, it better be used with water. You can add one cup of it to warm water in a regular-sized bathtub. Soak for 15-20 minutes to ensure the protective acid properly absorbs into your skin. It balances the pH of your skin keeping it from becoming too dry or too oily.

Apple cider vinegar contains antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral elements that are perfect for protecting your skin from bacteria which, in turn, prevent pimples from forming. How to use it: Do a patch test before applying it on all over the face to make sure it doesn’t react badly. For patch test, apply it on your jawline with a cotton swab before applying on the cheeks. Soak your feet in the solution for 15-20 minutes so that your feet absorb it properly. Moreover, you can use this solution to remove the stench from clothes and rugs. Yes, you can use apple cider vinegar on your hair to get rid of dandruff. Dandruff is your body’s inflammatory response to yeast that may grow on your scalp. Apply cider vinegar reduces the yeast growth on your scalp which prevents dandruff.

How to use it: mix apple cider vinegar and water in equal amounts and apply it on your scalp before washing it off with a shampoo. It will leave a strong stench if you use it without mixing it with water. You can also add a small amount of it in your shampoo bottle which will cover the smell completely.
